Promoting Positive Change and Leadership in Stockton Young Men of Color

In 2014, President Obama signed an initiative known as My Brother's Keeper to promote mentoring among young men of color. Mary Magdalene Community Services decided to expand this concept to go beyond mentoring. In 2015, MMCS was awarded a grant to from San Joaquin County Probation Department to operate a community recidivism reduction program for youth.  We named our program My Brother’s Keeper Academy (MBK Academy).
